Install CCP4 from the CCP4 website, if you don't have it already.

You can download CCP4 from www.ccp4.ac.uk.

CCP4 will be installed into /Applications/ccp4-*VERSION-NUMBER*.

Run the software.

The Installer will automatically open the Applications folder after the Installation. You here have now an application called 2dx.

This is actually a symbolic link to the 2dx_merge application. You should always start your project from the 2dx_merge and call 2dx_image from there.

Using the Terminal window, you can find the software in /usr/local/2dx/bin/

Scripts are in /usr/local/2dx/2dx_image/scripts-standard, /usr/local/2dx/2dx_image/scripts-custom, and /usr/local/2dx/2dx_image/proc.

Those directories are writable by default now, so that you can easily modify these scripts if you like.
